In our continued effort to be more sustainable in our business practices, we have now created wedding floral designs using beautiful blooms from local growers.
Emma Hewlett and her team can now create beautiful floral designs for your special day using purely locally sourced blooms and foliage, and they will all be grown within easy reach of the EHFD studio, helping to reduce delivery distance on flowers.
Working within the British flower growing season means that currently a fully British wedding flower design can only be created in peak growing months (May-Sept).
What makes using local flowers different?
Emma will be working with a selection of fabulous local flower growers that all sit within a 30 minute radius of her studio, meaning that your Devon wedding will be truly Devonshire.
She will select the best blooms available for your special day, allowing designs to be creatively unique to you.
Locally grown flowers often aren't grown in sizeable quantities therefore Emma and her team will work with you on your colour palette and create designs using whatever blooms fit within that colour scheme. This means it can sometimes be hard to guarantee a certain flower but if there is something you love, Emma with make all the effort to source it.
Working with the seasons - the flowers will well and truly British seasonal blooms
The flowers are often grown outside in the elements, allowing nature to do its thing. The florals are more natural in style giving a sense of organic beauty.
If fresh florals aren't your style then why not consider using dried florals, again using everything that is sourced, grown and dried locally.

Following an initial discussion about your ideas and thoughts for your wedding flowers, Emma will create a bespoke imageboard and costing, giving you a real feel for the look of your day.

For budget conscious couples, Emma has created a simple package of British florals that will be styled and available for you to collect from the studio the day before your event.
